Gnetophyta

Gnetophyta is sometimes regarded as a small division of the kingdom Plantae. It is sometimes placed as a class, Gnetopsida, in the division Spermatophyta. It consists of two orders:
- Gnetales -- containing two families, Welwitschiaceae[?], consisting only of the genus Welwitschia, and Gnetaceae[?], consisting only of the genus Gnetum[?]
- Ephedrales -- containing only the family Ephedraceae and the genus Ephedra.
