Frank Sargeson

Frank Sargeson (21 March 1903 - 1 March 1982) was born Norris Frank Davey in Hamilton, New Zealand. He is considered to be one of New Zealand's foremost short story writers and played a major role in encouraging the young Janet Frame by providing both a support and home at his Takapuna[?], Auckland property. Sargeson, like Katherine Mansfield helped to put New Zealand literature on the world map.
