Four Books

The Four books are four classical Chinese writings selected by Zhu Xi in the Song dynasty to serve as an introduction to Chinese philosophy. The four books are:

the Great Learning
the Analects of Confucius[?]
the Golden Mean[?]
the works of Mencius
