Founded 19.5.1989 as Deutsche Aerospace AG, bundling space and aeronautic elements of DaimlerChrysler, Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB), MTU München[?], and Telefunken Systemtechnik[?] (TST[?]) In 1992, the helicopter division was joined to Aerospatiale's helicopter division to form the Eurocopter Group.
Renamed on 1.1.1995 to Daimler-Benz Aerospace AG, on 7.11.1998 to DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG.
Siemens Sicherungstechnik[?] joined in 1997.
In 2000 the aerospace division was joined to Matra Marconi Space to form Astrium.
Member of EADS.
