Condoleezza Rice

Condoleezza Rice (born November 14, 1954) was appointed to the post of Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs by US President George W. Bush in December 2000.

Rice is a tenured professor in the Stanford University political science department. From 1993-1999 she served as the Stanford Provost. She has a PhD from the University of Denver[?].

In, 1989, she was director of Soviet and East European affairs with the National Security Council.

Rice is a corporate board member for Hewlett-Packard, Charles Schwab[?], and Chevron, which named an oil tanker in her honor.
