Coal Miner's Daughter

Coal Miner's Daughter is a 1980 autobiographical film which tells the story of country music performer Loretta Lynn. It stars Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones and Levon Helm[?].

The movie was adapted from Lynn's autobiography by Thomas Rickman[?]. It was directed by Michael Apted[?].

It won the Academy Award for Best Actress (Sissy Spacek), and was nominated for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Picture, Best Sound and Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium.

Sissy Spacek did her own singing in this film.
