Chisel

A chisel is a tool for carving small pieces out of a hard material such as wood or stone. It is made from an inclined plane (called the blade[?]) attached to a straight handle. A worker strikes the chisel's handle with a hammer and forces it into the material, causing a small piece to break free. Chisels are used extensively in woodworking and sculpture.
