Château de Coucy

The Château de Coucy was constructed in the 13th century. It was renovated by Viollet le Duc during the 19th century.

In the year 1917 it was severely destroyed by the German military.

Its dungeon[?] measured 35 meters large and 55 meters long, the greatest in all of Europe.

The château is located in the commune of Coucy Le Château Auffrique, in the Aisne département, in France.
