Biophysics

Biophysics (also biological physics) is an interdisciplinary branch of physics, which studies the physical aspects of biology. Its area of interest sometimes overlap with those of physiology, biochemistry or molecular biology.

The connection between physics and biology is two-way. On one side, biology provides physics with biological systems having interesting physical properties. On the other, physics provides tools to solve problems in biology.
