Battle of Yamen

In 1279, Chinese general Zhang Hongfan[?] of the Yuan Dynasty anniliated last fleet of the Southern Song Dynasty at Yamen, (today Xinhui[?] County, Guangdong Province). Lu Xiufu[?] and last emperor[?] of Southern Song Dynasty committed suicide by jumping off a cliff into the sea. Zhang Shijie[?], commander of the Song fleet, escaped from the scene but was later drowned when his ship was brought down in a storm.
