Athos (fictional character)

Athos is one of the title fictional characters of the novel The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. (The other two are Porthos and Aramis.) He has a mysterious past connecting him with the villainess of the novel.

The fictional Athos is loosely based on the historical musketeer[?] Armand de Sillègue d'Athos d'Autevielle (1615-1644). (They don't actually have much in common apart from a name.)
