Armageddon is an adventure spanning the universe, from a South China Sea oil-rig to the depths of an asteroid.

It should be remembered that, despite the fast action sequences and the cogent topic, a Hollywood film is not made for scientific accuracy. In particular, most of the science details in the film are wrong.
