Angerona

In Roman mythology, Angerona was a goddess of secrecy, the winter (esp. the solstice) and a protectress of the ancient Roman Empire.

In art, she was depicted with a bandaged mouth and a finger pressed to her lips, demanding silence.

She was celebrated at the Divalia[?] or Angeronalia[?] on December 21.
