Andy White

Andy White (born 1930) is a drummer, best known for playing drums on The Beatles first single, "Love Me Do".

White was a studio drummer in the 1950s and 1960s, recording with artists like Billy Fury[?], Marlene Dietrich, Herman's Hermits and Tom Jones.


Andy White is also an Irish singer/songwriter, born in Belfast. He started writing music from a young age, writing a punk popsong called Riots at the tender age of 15.

He released his first album Rave on Andy White in 1985. He has since collaborated with people like Peter Gabriel and Sinead O'Connor.

In 1995 he released an album with Tim Finn[?] (of Crowded House) and Liam O'Maonlai[?] (Hothouse Flowers[?]) - the project was released under the name ALT, the name of the album is altitude.
