AIK is an Swedish sports club based in Solna, north of Stockholm.

AIK is short for Allmänna Idrottsklubben which roughly translated means 'The Public/Common Sports Club'. The name refers to the fundamental idea that the club should be open for everyone but also to the clubs practicing of 'common' sports i.e. athletics.
