Floorball

Floorball is a sport played with a approx. 1 m long plastic sticks were the goal is to put a light (23 gram) ball with 26 holes into the other team's goal. The game is played mostly in Sweden, Finland and Switzerland but exists on a smaller scale in other countries like Norway.

A Floorball team consist of 5 field players and one goalkeeper (who has no stick). The playing field should be aproximatly 40 x 20 meters and enclosed by a board (50 cm tall). The goal cages are aproximatly 160 x 115 cm and 40-65 cm deep.

A world championship is played every two years. Current reigning world champions are (women) Finland and (men) Sweden.
