Zomergem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Oostwinkel[?], Ronsele[?] and Zomergem proper. On January 1st, 2000 Zomergem had a total population of 8,245 (4,074 males and 4,171 females). The total area is 38.95 km² which gives a population density of 211.68 inhabitants per km².
