Yoho National Park

Yoho National Park is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains near the town of Field, British Columbia. The name Yoho comes from a Cree word expressing amazement. Together with three other National parks: and three British Columbia provincial parks:
  • Hamber
  • Mount Assiniboine
  • Mount Robson
Yoho is part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.

The Kicking Horse River[?], a Canadian Heritage river, originates in the Wapta and Waputik icefields in the park.

The Burgess Shale deposits were discovered in this area.
