Yakovlev Design Bureau

A.S. Yakovlev Design Bureau JSC is a russian aircraft designer and manufacturer.

It was founded in 1932 by Alexander Sergeevich Yakovlev.

During WWII Yakovlev designed and produced the famed Yak line of fighter aircraft.

Merged into the Yak Aviation Company[?] with Smolensk Aviation Plant Joint Stock Company[?] in March 1992, although the two companies were opearted separately.

Underwent privatization and became Yak Aircraft Corporation.

Yakovlev Experimental Design Bureau[?], designer of the Pchela (drone reconnaisance aircraft) (Bumblebee).
