Woolsthorpe

Woolsthorpe-by-Colsterworth, Lincolnshire was the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton, scientist, philosopher, alchemist, and mathematician. (not to be confused with Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir nearer to Nottingham. Woolsthorpe-by-Colsterworth is 100 Miles (170km) North of London 3 miles West of the major A1 road (once called the Great North Road). Virtually on the border with Leicestershire and Rutland
