1. This is a dummy how a genealogical ancestor[?] table could look. More ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated! (Was someting like this already done? I havnt found it anywhere/ Dan Koehl 13:01 Dec 9, 2002 (UTC)

2. Another suggestion, made by someone else is also down below.

Here is a variation on the original theme.
I know that this is not the traditional format for an ancestor chart, however I believe a small break with tradition will afford us much space.

I changed this a bit so that it includes the Ahnentafel (or Kekule) numbers, which are in my opinion indispensible. Tables are still very confusing to edit, it would be possible, I think, for someone with the requisite programming knowledge to make a 'wiki-syntax' that takes a list of 16 names (proband plus ancestors 2-15) as an argument and displays it as this sort of table? -- Someone else 22:46 Mar 7, 2003 (UTC)

Good idea with Kekule. Some colors want harm? (Grey?) What I like with this concept instead of a picture, is that its fast, its just like a textpage, and its rather easy to insert the names (hyperlinks). As with the script, Someone, that sounds really even better. But until then, I think this is useable...Dan Koehl 02:13 Mar 12, 2003 (UTC)
