Wikipedia:TomeRaider database - download instructions

Download compressed file(s) (/tarballs/tomeraider/)

The file naming scheme is as follows:
File names all start with WP for Wikipedia, followed by (P)PC or PALM for platform, followed by a two letter language code (EN, DE or NL).

Very small DEMO files are also available, containing just a handful of articles from the English Wikipedia.

Unzip file with bunzip2

You can download Windows version of bunzip2 here (http://members.ams.chello.nl/epzachte/Wikipedia/bunzip2.exe)

In a DOS box run "bunzip2 xxx" where xxx is the zipped file
If the file can not be unzipped (extension bz2 should disappear) it is corrupt, download again.
This is also the reason why the files are zipped: to serve as a consistency check (TR files are already compressed).

Open file in TomeRaider

• Browse database in (preview) version of TomeRaider for Windows or
  
• Copy database to handheld and browse in (preview) version of TomeRaider for Windows
