Wikipedia:Library of Congress Country Studies

The Country Studies are works published by the Federal Research Division[?] of the Library of Congress. The infomation is freely availiable on-line and is not protected by copyright.

The current list of publication comprises 101 countries of the world, out of which some, like the Soviet union, are defunct entities. The separate works are generally quite extensive and alot of highly specialized information might be found, which can provide valuable materials and references for articles.

Consider using the work for information rather than just copying it. Structure and write the article, using material from the country studies supplemented with information from other sources. But you should still feel free to quote, even long sections, giving proper credit and including a reference to the country studies. Don't forget to make proper use of the Wikipedia structure, inserting links to related articles to make the article more useful. Dates should also be converted from forms like (6th of June 1944) to June 6, 1944.
