Wikipedia talk:Library of Congress Country Studies

Has there been any serious considerations of using the Library of Congress Country Studies as a source for Wikipedia? There is a statement on the web page which seems to resolve the copyright issue:

"Information contained in the Country Studies On-Line is not copyrighted and thus is available for free and unrestricted use by researchers. As a courtesy, however, appropriate credit should be given to the series."

There ought however to be some form of guidelines for using it as a source. The scope and breadth of the studies that I'm familiar with is impressive but I'm not sure that just dumping them on Wikipedia would be a good idea, though this could rather be something for Sourceberg. The number of countries are roughly 100 at present and the "most important" are often missing from the list, but they ones availiable provides a very thorough source and much more so than the entries of the (CIA) World Fact Book. -- Mic 05:26 Apr 9, 2003 (UTC)
