Villahermosa ("Pretty Town" in the Spanish language) is city in the Tabasco state of Mexico. It is the capital of Tabasco state. The population in 1995 was 465,449 people.
The city was founded in the 16th century under the name San Juan Bautista. The city adopted it's current name in 1915.
