Village Green Preservation Society

Village Green Preservation Society is a folk-rock and psychedelia album by British rock band The Kinks. Released on November 22, 1968 (see 1968 in music), Village Green Preservation Society is a loosely-assembled concept album, concerning the demise of English rural life. Songwriter Ray Davies had previously delved into similar territory, such as on the previous album, Something Else by the Kinks[?], but managed to inject social commentary into simple observations of life.
