Videogames and violence

Videogames and violence have been linked by a number of studies especially in the 1990s, some focusing on computer addiction, some on brain waves[?], which some researchers claim are profoundly affected by video games.

Concern about these links rose to moral panic in the wake of the Columbine massacre, in which two male teenagers demonstrated a sociopathic calm and accuracy killing off their school-mates. Many suspected this was linked to the video games they had played, which inculcate these skills as a natural part of the game-play.
