Very Large Array

Very large array or VLA is one of the modern radio telescope arrays. It consists of 25 27-meter dishes. The antennae can be moved along the arms of a Y-shaped pattern, allowing interferometry with maximum baseline of 36 kilometers. The highest angular resultion that can be reached is about 0.05 arcseconds.

VLA is located in New Mexico.
