Vernon is a city located in Los Angeles County, California. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 91.

Geography Vernon is located at 34°0'4" North, 118°12'40" West (34.001213, -118.210979)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 13.4 km² (5.2 mi²). 12.9 km² (5.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.10% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 91 people, 25 households, and 23 families residing in the city. The population density is 7.0/km² (18.2/mi²). There are 26 housing units at an average density of 2.0/km² (5.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 47.25% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 47.25% from other races, and 4.40% from two or more races. 89.01% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 25 households out of which 56.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 92.0% are married couples living together, 0.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 8.0% are non-families. 8.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.64 and the average family size is 3.78.

In the city the population is spread out with 37.4% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 34.1% from 25 to 44, 15.4% from 45 to 64, and 6.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 29 years. For every 100 females there are 89.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 111.1 males.
