Van Halen II

Van Halen II is Van Halen's second album. It was recorded in 1978 and released in April of 1979 (see 1979 in music). Though Van Halen II was more popular than its predecessor, Van Halen, it has not endured as well and is widely viewed as an inferior follow-up.

Van Halen II peaked at #6 on Billboard's (North America) Pop Albums chart. The singles "Beautiful Girls" and "Dance the Night Away" peaked at #84 and #15, respectively, on Billboard's Pop Singles chart.
