Valkenburg aan de Geul (population: 17,782) is a municipality in the southeastern Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. The municipality covers an area of 36.90 km² (of which 0.14 km² water).

The municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul also comprises the following towns, villages and townships: Berg en Terblijt[?], Geulhem[?], Houthem[?], IJzeren[?], Oud-Valkenburg[?], Schin op Geul[?], Sibbe[?], Vilt[?], Walem[?].
