Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul

Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul (born August 17, 1932) is a British novelist of Hindu heritage from Trinidad and Tobago.

In 2001, two of his books, A House for Mr Biswas[?] and A Bend in the River[?] would both be on the list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century by the editorial board of the American Modern Library.
