A merphant is a mermaid-elephant. It has the head and torso of an elephant, with a fish tail. Note that "ele-maid" would be incorrect, since this would be a lady with an elephant's behind.
Merphant is a fairly active Wikipedian (#148 as of June 2003), has wikipediholic tendencies (test score 70), and can usually be found editing articles on the topics of art, music, computers, and other random silly articles on things like noodles and doodles.
