University of Scranton

The University of Scranton is a Jesuit university located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA. It was founded in 1888 as Saint Thomas Aquinas College by the Reverend William G. O'Hara and promoted to university status in 1938 and Jesuit status in 1942.

Specialities include education, pre-medical and English programs.

The campus offers many new and renovated facilities including the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Memorial Library. Students in the university's renowned pre-medical program frequently find internships at any of the three hospitals located in Scranton.
