Unity Church

The Unity Church is the largest of the New Thought denominations of Christianity. It was founded by Charles[?] and Myrtle Fillmore[?] in the late 1800s, originally with the intention of being a teaching organization rather than a separate denomination. The teaching side of the denomination contiues to exist, via the Unity School of Christianity in Missouri, but there are now many Unity churches throughout the world.

The Unity Church teaches that God is a universal presence and that divinity exists within all people, not just Jesus Christ. The church emphasizes prayer, meditation, and positive thinking.
