Ulricehamn is a city and a municipality in southwest Sweden, in the county of Västra Götaland. The municipality covers an area of 1051.3 km². Of the total population of 22 284, 11 131 are male, and 11 153 are female. The population density of the community is 21 inhabitants per km².
The city had been named "Bogesund" until 1741, when it was renamed in honour of Queen Ulrica Eleonora. It has been a city since at least the 15th century.
