Trophic hormone

Trophic hormones are hormones that regulate the activity of endocrine glands. Many trophic hormones are produced by the pituitary gland. One example of a trophic hormone is the thyroid-stimulating hormone[?], produced by the pituitary, which stimulates the thyroid gland.
