Tromsø

The city Tromsø in the county of Troms, Norway, has 60,524 inhabitants as of January 1, 2002.

Tromsø is the seventh largest city in Norway. It is situated at 69 degrees 40' 33" N, 18 degrees 55' 10" E. The world's northernmost university, University of Tromsø is located here.

Tromsø is also the home of the football club Tromsø I.L., that plays in the Norwegian premier league (2003).

The local newspaper is named Nordlys.
