Trekkies is the most-frequently used term used to describe especially fervent fans of the Star Trek franchise. Another popular term for this group is Trekkers.

Trekkies is also a 1997 documentary movie directed by Roger Nygard[?] about the devoted fans of Gene Roddenberry's series Star Trek.
