Tompkinsville, New York

Tompkinsville is a community near the northeast corner of Staten Island, now an integral part of New York City.

It was originally laid out by Daniel D. Tompkins in the early 1800s, the first planned community on the island.

Tompkinsville was the site of a Naval Frontier Base[?] of the US Navy for many years.
