The band signed to Epic Records[?] and released Cheap Trick[?] in 1976. Cheap Trick's most famous album is Live at Budokan[?] which went triple platinum.

This band released Cheap Trick[?], another eponymous album, in 1997.

The movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High[?] was influential for Cheap Trick when Damone tried to sell tickets to a customer in the stand.

Bassist Tom Petersson is credited for having the idea for a 12-string bass. The instrument was actually first built by Hamer Guitars. According to Bun E. Carlos, Robin Zander also plays the Hamer 12-string in addition to a Gibson Firebird, Chandler "Telecaster" and Rickenbacker 325.
