Tito Ortiz

Tito Ortiz (born January 23, 1975) is a participant of the sport of UFC, or Ultimate Fighting Championships. A Light-Heavyweight, Ortiz has become one of the sport's most shining stars, headlining several Pay Per View championship undercards, and appearing on the covers of various magazines[?], such as Black Belt Magazine[?]. He is a native of Huntington Beach, California.

Ortiz, who is a member of Team Punishment in his sport, began fighting at the UFC 13 championship. He beat Wes Albittron[?] on the tournament's first round, but lost a controversial bout to Guy Mezger[?] in the next round.

Ortiz has participated in 26 UFC championships, and he is the sport's current world champion at the Light Heavyweight division. In UFC 33, he suffered a leg injury after defeating Vladimir Matyushenko[?] by decision, and the injury caused him to be almost one year out of The Octagon, as they call the area used to compete in the UFC fights. But when he returned, hewas able to beat Ken Shamrock[?], another UFC superstar. But he re-injured after that fight again, breaking his hand.

Ortiz has only lost two bouts in his career, and is planning to move up to the Heavyweight division.
