Timeslip

Timeslip was a 1970s British children's television series about the adventure of two children, Simon Randall and Liz Skinner, through a 'slip in time' that led to different time periods and different alternate pasts and futures. Throughout all of these, Commander Traynor (played by Denis Quilley[?]) appears in various guises at different ages. 26 episodes were made by ATV for ITV, covering a series of linked adventures:

  • The Wrong End of Time
  • The Time of the Ice Box
  • The Year of the Burn-Up
  • The Day of the Clone

The script editor for Timeslip was Ruth Boswell. Scriptwriters: Bruce Stewart, and Victor Pemberton.

Because of a technician's strike, many episodes toward the end of the series were made in black and white. In any case, it seems that the original masters of the series were wiped in the late 1970s, and that with the possible exception of one episode the only surviving copies are black and white kinescopes.
