The Tourists

The Tourists were a British band, a predecessor of Eurythmics.

They formed in 1977 under the name "the Catch", the line-up including Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart[?], Peet Coombes[?], and Jim Toomey[?]. After the Catch broke up, they were joined by Eddie Chin[?]. The Tourists' first (minor) hit was "Blind Among the Flowers". They followed it up with two major hits: "So Good to be Back Home Again" and "I Only Want to be with You".

In 1980, the group split, but within a few months Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox came together again to form the Eurythmics.
