The Ten Gurus of Sikhism

The Ten Gurus are the great teachers of Sikhism.

The basic tenet was to wean people away from the caste system predominant in India. Another thing advocated was "no idol worship". Sikhism believes that God is inside a person, rather than stones and symbols.

The Gurus taugh the path of enlightenment to the disciples.

The gurus were:
