The Orchids

The Orchids were one of the most prolific, enduring and popular bands of the twee pop scene at Sarah Records[?]. Formed near Glasgow in 1986, the Orchirds released a series of underground singles on Sarah Records (see 1986 in music). These included "I've Got a Habit" and "What Will We Next", followed by the underground hits "An Ill Wind That Blows" and "Something for the Longing".

Aside from the singles and a few EPs, the Orchids (like most bands of their ilk) did not release albums until Unholy Soul[?] (1991) and Epicurean[?] (1992 in music). Their last album was 1994 in music's Striving for Lazy Perfection[?]. The band broke up in 1995.
