The Guardsman

The Guardsman is a 1931 movie based on the play Testör by Ferenc Molnar[?] and the play Elizabeth the Queen by Maxwell Anderson[?]. It stars Alfred Lunt, Lynn Fontanne, Roland Young[?] and Zazu Pitts.

The movie was adapted by Ernest Vajda[?] (screenplay) and Claudine West[?] (continuity) and was directed by Sidney Franklin[?].

It was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Alfred Lunt) and Best Actress in a Leading Role (Lynn Fontanne).

The 1931 talkie is based upon the roles they had played on Broadway in 1924.
