Teresa of Portugal

There are at least two women called Teresa of Portugal.

1. Half-sister and rival of Urraca of Castile[?], lived 1109-1128. Founded the Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Montederramo[?].

2. Wife of Alfonso IX of Castile, lived 1181-June 18, 1250, married in 1191, but the marriage was annulled in 1198 because they were cousins. She was canonized in 1705 by Pope Clement IX.
