Thanks for the clarifications on depth of field. Could you explain the hyperfocal distance more, though? I'm not understanding that part fully. It sounds to me as if you're saying "to maximize depth of field, have the farthest objects in frame and the closest objects in frame in focus at the same time"--which would be true enough, but if that's what you mean, then you've made the definition for "hyperfocal distance" circular. --KQ
