I say go for it; wikipedia isn't a scientific journal, discussing pop cultural significance of these sorts of things is just as useful to information-seekers as is the technical nitty-gritty. Perhaps this article will be used by a film studies student for some project about freudianism in the popular media; references to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde might also be useful, for example.
